Residential roof cleaning in Pretoria and Centurion
A dark, streaky roof makes the whole house look tired. We remove moss, lichen, algae and years of grime with a low-pressure method that cleans the tiles without blasting them apart.

What we clean
- Concrete and clay roof tiles
- Moss, lichen and black algae streaks
- Sheeting, IBR and corrugated roofs
- Carports, lapas and outbuildings
- Fascias and barge boards
- Gutter clean-out on the same visit
Why roofs need cleaning
Lichen and moss hold moisture against the tiles. Over time that speeds up weathering, lifts the surface coating, and lets roots work into joints and overlaps. Black algae streaks don't do much structural harm, but they make even a well-kept house look neglected. Kerb appeal matters most if you are selling, because the roof is one of the first things buyers notice.
Low pressure, not brute force
We don't blast roof tiles at full pressure. That can strip the surface, crack older tiles and force water under the overlaps into the ceiling space. Instead we use low-pressure washing together with cleaning solutions that suit the growth on your roof, so it lets go without heavy force. The result is a deep clean that doesn't shorten the life of your roof.
Safety and access
Roof work is done from ladders and roof boards with care for broken or loose tiles. If we spot cracked tiles, damaged ridge capping or blocked valleys, we photograph them and point them out. That way you know about problems before the rainy season, not after a leak.
Pair it with gutters and paving
Whatever comes off the roof washes down into the gutters and onto the paving below. That's why most clients book gutter cleaning and paving cleaning on the same day. Everything ends up clean, and you only have us on site once.

Roof Cleaning: FAQ
Is pressure washing bad for roof tiles?
High pressure can be. That is why we clean roofs with low pressure and the right cleaning solution, which removes growth without stripping or cracking tiles.
Will water leak into my ceiling?
Low-pressure cleaning that works with the direction of the tile overlaps keeps water where it belongs. We also check for cracked tiles before we start.
How often should a roof be cleaned?
Usually every few years, depending on shade, trees and orientation. South-facing and tree-covered roofs grow moss and lichen faster.
